First Chapters Preschool & Daycare
60 Western Ave, Allston, MA
8,000 SF
Design: STA Architecture
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Corderman & Company completed the construction of First Chapters Preschool, an 8,000 SF early education and childcare center adjacent to Harvard Business School’s campus. Operated by Babilou Family, an international early education network, the center includes a reception area, offices, a discovery center, and a variety of infant, toddler, and preschool rooms. Custom curved millwork, open archways, and a rock-climbing wall run throughout the interior, creating a warm, engaging environment that encourages movement and play.
The scope also included an outdoor playground provided by KOMPAN, divided into two age-specific areas for infants and toddlers. The installation marked the Corderman team’s first playground project.
This project was delivered in collaboration with Babilou Family, Breakthrough Properties, STA Architecture, BLW Engineers, On Point Consulting Group, and our trusted trade partners.
