Lobby-ing for USH: 100 Federal Street
The Lobby-ing for USH campaign continues at 100 Federal Street. This is the eighth location to host the USH Society’s Shine a Light on Usher Syndrome Portrait Exhibit, which highlights the faces and stories of those living with the rare disease.
This campaign is just a small, albeit extraordinarily important, part of an otherwise extensive partnership between Corderman & Company and the Usher Syndrome Society. Founded in 2012, the USH Society has been working tirelessly to raise awareness and funds to find treatments and a cure for Usher syndrome, a rare disease that causes combined deafness and blindness. Two of David Corderman’s children have this disease, and the firm is the founding sponsor of the non-profit. Corderman additionally supports an annual fundraiser hosted by the USH Society. Both David and his daughter, Hannah Corderman — Strategy and Innovation Manager at the firm, are members of the Usher Syndrome Society’s Board of Directors.
The support of buildings throughout Boston has been inspiring and influential in increasing visibility for Usher syndrome. The campaign at 100 Federal Street’s Exchange atrium also included a tabling event during which the large screen broadcasted various documentaries, short stories, and footage from other campaigns that the USH Society has spearheaded. The exhibit will be displayed for one more week so if you happen to be near Post Office Square, go check it out!
Our next location will be 10 St. James Avenue…stay tuned!
