Celebrating Caitlin O’Brien: BBJ CFO of the Year

Corderman & Company’s Director of Financial Operations, Caitlin O’Brien, earned the BBJ’s 2025 CFO of the Year award. The Corderman crew joined her at the BBJ’s event this past week to celebrate her outstanding accomplishment. During her eight years at the firm, Caitlin has had an integral role in streamlining the internal processes, supporting financial success, and contributing to a more inclusive and positive culture. Furthermore, she serves as a mentor both within the company — offering guidance and overseeing the Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, and Project Coordinator roles — and externally in the industry. Most recently she participated in Wentworth Institute of Technology’s Leadership in the Built Environment (LBE) program, a testament to her dedication to continuing education and professional development. She returned the following year to offer her expertise and industry experience to the next cohort of students. She has also received recognition as ENR’s Top Young Professional 2022 and was earned Connect CRE’s Women in Real Estate award in 2024.

As part of the award, Caitlin participated in a Q&A. Learn more about what inspires and drives Caitlin, and some fun facts below:
