New Project Completed in North End

Corderman & Company recently completed the renovation of Greater Boston Legal Services’ main office at 197 Friend Street in Boston.

The refreshed space includes a new waiting area and elevator lobby, conference rooms, open work areas with workstations, and additional storage, creating an updated environment to support the GBLS team and the clients they serve.

A key component of the project was the replacement of the building’s fire alarm panel. Because the panel serves the entire building, the work required careful planning, communication, and coordination to minimize disruption and maintain ongoing building operations throughout construction.

For more than a century, Greater Boston Legal Services has provided free civil legal assistance to individuals and families in need throughout the Greater Boston community. We’re proud to have contributed to a space that supports their team and the important work they do every day.

The Corderman team was comprised of: Senior Project Manager - Matt Santapaula, Superintendent - Charles E. Kilmain III, Director of Field Operations - Dave MacNeil, Corderman Labor, Carpentry & Trucking. The team worked in collaboration with the following project partners: Greater Boston Legal Services, JLL, Ebbrell Architecture + Design, RMF Engineering, Inc., Environments at Work, and TRITECH Communications Inc.

Thank you to our valued trade partners for their collaboration and contributions to the project.
