Promoting Physical & Mental Health

A breath of fresh air. When working in buildings where the windows simply don’t open…A roof deck. Is. Everything.

With roof deck projects at One Financial Center, 100 High Street, 222 Berkeley Street, 131 Dartmouth Street, 699 Boylston Street, and One Post Office Square Corderman & Company is well versed at installing these beautiful, outdoor oases.

Occasionally persevering through less than desirable weather conditions in order to construct these stunning spots, the Corderman team has exemplified their expertise in crafting and providing thoughtful, innovative spaces for clients. In particular, our In-House Corderman Carpentry division has been essential in offering their skilled handiwork for many of these roof decks, building with the utmost attention to detail.

A yoga room, part of the fitness center at 290 Congress Street for Boston Properties. There are yoga mats, a mirror, and miscellaneous gym equipment.

Fitness centers, locker rooms, and roof decks…oh my! Corderman & Company’s experience constructing amenity spaces often extends to incorporate fitness centers, locker rooms and, in this particular case at OFC, an adjacent roof deck for early morning coffee and yoga.

While amenity centers and collaborative meeting spaces promote social well-being, fitness centers uphold the mission to boost physical and mental health.

Being mindful of noise mitigation as well as accounting for the fitness equipment and its impact on adjacent spaces is a special consideration during construction of these spaces. This practice has been adopted for a number of other fitness centers for which Corderman’s construction management services have been engaged.
