Corderman & Company, a leading Boston-based construction management firm and multi-year Top Places to Work award winner, is seeking a driven and experienced Construction Project Manager to lead high-end interior construction projects in the Greater Boston area. As Project Manager, you will be the primary point of accountability for your projects, responsible for driving progress, maintaining budgets and schedules, and cultivating strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and trade partners. You will work alongside a dedicated, supportive team who all share a passion for excellence.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Lead construction projects from pre-construction through closeout, controlling schedule, budget, and quality goals
Collaboratively develop scopes, budgets, schedules, logistics plans, and procurement strategies
Maintain direct communication with clients, architects, and consultants throughout the project lifecycle
Identify and manage project risks, proactively resolving challenges and conflicts as they arise
Coordinate and manage trade partner performance, trade buyouts, and contract administration
Oversee financial performance, including budget tracking, cost control, change management, and billing
Produce and maintain detailed documentation including meeting minutes, RFIs, submittals, and progress reports
Support site logistics, phasing, safety planning, and material coordination with the field team
Collaborate with the Superintendent to monitor jobsite progress and ensure alignment with project goals
Participate in client meetings, walkthroughs, and closeout procedures including punch lists and turnover
Track progress, identify delays, and assist with schedule recovery strategies to ensure on-time project completion
Mentor Assistant Project Managers and contribute to team development and project success
Promote an inclusive culture and uphold Corderman’s standards for professionalism and quality
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional client-facing demeanor
A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Deep understanding of construction project management, interior systems, and construction sequencing
Experience in high-end commercial interiors or fast-paced, complex construction environments
Financial acumen and comfort managing project budgets, contracts, and change orders
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, Bluebeam, and scheduling software
Ability to lead with confidence, remain calm under pressure, and solve problems creatively
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
5-10+ years of experience managing commercial interior projects in Greater Boston
Proven track record of delivering projects in the $1M–$10M+ range
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
