Marketing Director

 

We are seeking a highly creative and entrepreneurial Marketing Director to lead the Marketing organization at Corderman & Company. Your efforts will focus on building capabilities which enhance the Corderman & Company brand, generate new business and strengthen our position as a top construction management firm in Boston.

This is a creative role requiring expert knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite [InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat] and Keynote. Applications without Creative Portfolios will not be considered.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Direction:

  • Prepare a strategic plan designed to build capabilities and generate new business for the firm.

  • Direct the brand evolution, decision-making and communications around our brand.

  • Ensure the strategic plan includes market sectors, target industries and leverages client relationships for new projects.

  • Develop a strategic plan for staff development to invigorate business development.

  • Create strategy to strengthen social responsibility mission in relation to marketing goals.

Marketing:

  • Facilitate strategic direction and marketing plan development.

  • Build a Client Relationship Management process to enhance client relationships, loyalty, brand value.

  • Develop appropriate marketing strategy in response to feedback of Corderman & Company client experiences.

  • Leverage connections, SMPS, industry organizations to enhance visibility.

  • Ensure that public relations and collateral material reinforces brand direction and market awareness.

  • Conduct research to understand Corderman & Company positioning in target markets.

  • Manage proposal development, including strategy, design, content creation [resumes, case studies, logistical plans] and execution.

  • Manage interview presentations, including pitch strategy, team preparation, presentation design [Keynote] and execution.

  • Participate in organizations [including SMPS], industry associations, attend events to create brand visibility.

  • Responsible for the annual Marketing plan and budget.

  • Design reporting tools to measure Marketing campaign results and guide future investment.

  • Oversee digital marketing strategy, including directing email campaigns, social media campaigns, and website.

  • Design responsibilities include, but are not limited to: proposals, presentations, logistics plans, marketing collateral, website design [Squarespace], job site branding, etc.. Adobe Creative Suite is required.

Business Development:

  • Work with Director of Business Development to prepare BD plans for each market sector and target industry.

  • Strengthen client and partner relationships to generate new project opportunities and support project success.

  • Create an awareness on the importance of leveraging values in common with potential clients to build strong relationships leading to new business.

  • Collaborate with Director of Business Development to identify skill gaps; design a BD training curriculum.

  • Coach Corderman & Company staff on effective BD interaction.

Staff Development:

  • Build capabilities in leaders and staff to strengthen market position and new business.

  • Mentor and coach teams to improve their individual and collective effectiveness.

  • Ignite a commitment to the Corderman & Company mission and unique client experience.

  • Create an environment of open communication, respect and trust.

  • Commit to the learning and development of marketing and business development staff.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or related field.

  • 10-15+ years of Marketing or Business Development experience in the construction, architecture, engineering, and commercial real estate industries. 

  • 5+ years in a Supervisory role in the construction, architecture, engineering, and commercial real estate industries.

  • Expert knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite [InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat]. Applicants are required to submit a creative portfolio to showcase creative software skills.

  • Expert knowledge in Keynote software.

  • Proficient in MS Office [Outlook, Word, Excel] and Squarespace.

  • Comfortable utilizing Apple-based technology and products [iMac, MacBook, iPhone].

  • Track record of building collaborative relationships with leadership teams and influencing measurable outcomes.

  • Proven ability to create and enhance client relationships.

  • Built credibility through persuasive internal and external communications.

  • Experience in graphic design, storytelling, visual communications, social media platforms.
